The Speedglas lens available here at Sphinx Industrial Supplies offer maximum comfort and safety when used with the 3M Speedglas Welding Helmet Series 9000. These outer protection plates have been designed to protect the outer surface of the welding lens on 3M Speedglas head shields. This protects the outside surface of the lens from sparks and spatter. 

Ensure that you are regularly clean and replace these lenses when they become scratched, pitted or too dirty to clean with a standard lens wipe. You should also frequently check for signs of wear and damage so you can replace your lenses to keep yourself safe when welding.
